Safety shut-off valve for water – type 55
Safety shut-off valve for water and heating systems at high pressure.
Certified safety
Tested in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU and based on DIN EN 14382 – no ignition source risk during operation.
Maximum protection for your water and heating systems
The type 55 safety shut-off valve is typically used between a boiler and a heat exchanger. If there is a leak in the heat exchanger's tube bundle, gas can enter the water circuit and cause the pressure to rise. In this case, the valve provides safety by closing and thus protecting the boiler against impermissibly high pressure. If the pressure in the water circuit drops, the valve opens again. The design is optimally adapted to the maximum permissible inlet pressure situation of the gas. Options such as a sensor for valve position are available.

Technical data for the type 55 water SAV
Below you will find the technical specifications for the type 55 water SAV. This information will help you quickly find and select the right model for your system.
Scope of delivery
- Connecting bolts depending on flange
- 2 × seals
How the type 55 water SAV works
During operation, a spring keeps the valve open. If the pressure rises above the setpoint, it overcomes the spring force and the valve closes completely by pressing the seal against the valve. It does not matter whether the pressure increase is slow or sudden. If the pressure drops below the setpoint again, the spring opens the valve again. An optional sensor indicates the valve position.
